In an effort to support the charitable work of local organizations that serve the areas of Suffolk Federal branch locations, the credit union has identified nonprofit organizations to provide financial support to. In Sayville, Branch Manager Pamela Werner presents a $1,000 contribution to the Sayville Village Improvement Society (SVIS).
“SVIS works extremely hard to make Sayville an outstanding place to live and work,” said Werner. “They create and display banners denoting many of the businesses in the main village and maintain all of the planting throughout the town and surrounding historical buildings. They also award a deserving Sayville High School student a college scholarship each year. We are happy to support their cause.”
“We are currently working with the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce to place banners throughout the village,” said SVIS’s President, Grace Papagno. “The donation from Suffolk Federal will be a great help towards supporting this visible project in Sayville that helps to highlight our local businesses.”
Founded in 1914, the Sayville Village Improvement Society’s mission focus has been to maintain the beautification of Sayville, encourage the community to take pride in their hometown and work towards its wellbeing. For more information visit www.svisonline.com
