A Message from the President & CEO

To Our Valued Members,

At Suffolk Federal, we understand that many of our members and their families are struggling during this unprecedented time. We as a community, are not only forced to manage our finances differently, but also learn new ways of dealing with ‘the new normal’ like working from home, helping children with online schooling or even cautiously taking necessary trips to the grocery store. We understand the stresses that a time like this can cause and want to reassure you that we are here to help in the very best way we can, while still protecting the health of our membership and our employees.

Here are some important things that you should know. Additional information and up-to-date details are at www.suffolkfcu.org/covid-19 to learn more!

Branch Operations
Our branch hours have been modified, however our team of dedicated employees are working on the front lines to make sure your banking needs are met. While our branch lobbies are closed, you can still utilize drive-thru services, ATMs or utilize our Branch Appointment Form for urgent banking needs that require in-person service.

Ways We’re Helping Our Members
We understand that membership may be experiencing financial hardship due to the effects of the Coronavirus, so in an effort to lessen the economic burden, we are assisting with skip-a-pay options and offering a Relief Loan. Resources for Small Businesses are also available on our website.

Providing the Latest in Technology
While practicing social distancing, please remember that you can utilize electronic options for your banking needs such as Online Banking with free automatic Bill Pay, our Mobile app with Remote Check Deposit, our Automated Telephone Service at 1.800.833.7328 and LiveChat.

Your Economic Impact Stimulus Checks
If you are seeking information regarding your stimulus payment, please be sure to use our Online Banking or Mobile app to monitor your account. Once your direct deposit is received, the credit union will post the payment by the end of the day.

To learn more about eligibility or the amount of your check, we encourage you to visit www.irs.gov/coronavirus where you can find the answers you need. If you have already received a check via mail, please use Suffolk Federal’s Remote Check Deposit service to deposit your check today.

Protecting Yourself from Fraud
Unfortunately, during a time of crisis, scammers will take advantage of public fears. Be sure to visit our Fraud Corner to learn how you can protect your personal information from being compromised.

Making A Difference
Suffolk Federal stepped up to the plate to support healthcare workers and local businesses by donating $7,500 to the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, which will benefit local “Healthcare Heroes” at both St. Charles and Mather Hospitals. The donation will support healthcare employees by providing them with delicious and nutritious meals while lending a much-needed economic boost to local restaurants in the community of Suffolk Federal’s Port Jefferson branch. In closing, we are proud to continue to serve our more than 60,000 members during this time. We thank you for your business, your trust and your loyalty. Stay safe and be well.
