As we reflect on our 55-year history of serving members who live and work in Long Island, it is very clear that personal relationships have been central to the Credit Union’s success. We understand that while there have been significant changes and technological advancements over the years, personal service and support matter now more than ever to our members. That is why delivering exceptional personal experiences for our members, employees, and partners are at the center of everything we are doing at Suffolk Federal Credit Union. We recognize that the pandemic created a rapid shift in member behaviors and expectations alike. Over the past year and a half, we have personally spoken to more than half of our members over the phone to:

1. Let them know that we are here for them in good times and bad
2. Understand how we can help meet evolving expectations
3. Eliminate friction across all our member facing channels to deliver stellar experiences

In addition to modernizing the technology we use to serve our members; we have also recently modernized the roles of our branch personnel to better serve you. Going forward, our Tellers and Financial Services Representatives will be Personal Bankers. The intent of this change is to ensure that our teams can meet a more diverse set of needs at each interaction and to allow for improved experiences with a more thoughtful approach to relationship banking. To help us deliver on this, our teams are receiving ongoing training and development.

Our Personal Bankers will continue to call upon our members as we recognize that personal interactions, whether through our contact center, digital channel or in our branches remains just as critical today as it was when Miles Kucera chartered Suffolk Federal Credit Union in 1967.
