Debra Castro Promoted to Senior Branch Manager of Riverhead and Eastport Branches

Portrait picture of Debra CastroSuffolk Federal is proud to announce the promotion of Debra Castro of Holbrook to Senior Branch Manager of the credit union’s Riverhead Branch at Route 24 at 2 Enterprise Zone Dr. and its Eastport Branch at 5 Eastport Manor Road. In this position, Castro is responsible for developing new business relationships in conjunction with meeting credit union goals of increased membership, and loan and deposit growth. She manages all branch operations, performs regular analysis of production and sales data, and participates in local community affairs. Castro additionally provides leadership through coaching and support of all branch personnel in order to accomplish superior sales and service objectives.

Castro has been employed at Suffolk Federal since 2010 where she originally began as the Assistant Branch Manager at the West Babylon Branch. She was later promoted to Branch Manager in 2014 and has led the Islandia, Commack, Riverhead and Eastport Branches since that time. Prior to joining Suffolk Federal, Castro served as a Business Banking Specialist at JPMorgan Chase in Lake Ronkonkoma.

She is a member of the Flanders Riverside Northampton Civic Association, the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, the Moriches Chamber of Commerce and Eastern Long Island Executives. She is an avid supporter and volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and a supporter of the Friends of the Riverhead Library.

Castro holds a Certificate in Banking, a General Banking Diploma Certificate of Customer Services Skills and a Certificate of Supervisory Skills from the American Institute of Banking in New York, New York.
