Suffolk Federal Alerts is a security benefit provided to our debit card members. If suspicious activity is observed on your account, you will receive an alert via text message to confirm the transaction. If the transaction is valid, you can reply YES. If it is fraud, you can reply NO.
Once the transaction is confirmed as valid, you may resume using your card. If you do not respond to the alert within 15 minutes, an automated voice message will be sent to your phone. If both attempts are unsuccessful in making contact, a representative from Suffolk Federal Credit Union will personally call you.
You have 72 hours to reply back to the text message to verify the transaction. If you answer that the transaction is fraud, and the card is blocked, you will need to contact Suffolk Federal Credit Union to be issued a new card. Once a card is blocked, it cannot be unblocked.
As a debit card holder, you are automatically enrolled in this service, but you may unenroll at any time by responding STOP after receiving an alert text. This service is free and there are no data charges. Suffolk Federal Alerts provides a fast, easy and secure way for you to verify transaction activity with the credit union.
