ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE FEDERAL RESERVE... WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
The Federal Reserve has announced that all check-processing operations of the Utica office of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York would cease in the first quarter of 2008. As a result of this change, some checks that are drawn on and deposited in banks located in the affected check-processing regions and that currently are nonlocal checks will become checks subject to faster availability schedules. As such, the Bank’s Funds Availability policies and schedules have been changed, which we are required by law to notify you of.
